Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture?

Facial rejuvenation Acupuncture is a complete Chinese medicine Acupuncture Treatment
combined with a luxurious facial spa treatment utilizing herbal foods for the skin. Fine hair-
like needles are placed are a variety of points in the ears, on the face and neck, legs, feet,
hands, arms and trunk of the body.

Because every person has a unique constitutional make up, every treatment is a
personalized recipe of needle points and herbs. This individualized recipe is based on the
proper Chinese Medicine diagnosis in order to obtain the desired results.

What are the results?

The face then lifts itself through the muscles' rejuvenation and tightening action. The
body's energy, blood and circulation are stimulated, which improves facial color, reduces or
eliminates discoloration, enhances collagen production, and increases moisture in your skin.

After the first treatment, one usually observes an increased glow to the complexion. A
person's face appears more 'open' with an increase of clarity to the eyes. Any stress or
anxiety is reduced or eliminated and quite often the person is feeling and looking rested.
Wrinkles start to lessen and the skin appears more toned. More dramatic noticeable results
tend to occur by the seventh treatment.

By the end of the series of treatments, fine lines may be entirely erased, deeper lines
reduced. Sagging around the neck and chin, and bags under the eyes are firmed. Dark
circles, puffiness, and age spots are reduced. Eyes become brighter, eyelids are lifted, jowls
are firmed, and pores are tightened. Inner beauty, vitality, and serenity manifest in the
appearance while many pre-existing health conditions are cleared up because Acupuncture
works by treating the whole body and addressing the underlying causes of aging and
disease.

What is a course of Treatment?

A series of weekly treatments are necessary along with the person's involvement in the
process. After an initial two hour session, with the evaluation of the response to the
treatment, and based on lifestyle, eating, and sleep habits, the needed number of follow up
visits can be determined.

The following durations of treatment are customarily recommended:

*
Usually 10 - 15 treatments
* 20 treatments for smokers or people whose skin tends to sag

The most dramatic results can last from eighteen months to three years. To ensure
persistence of the results, ongoing maintenance treatments are recommended
along with facial exercises and massage.

Is facial Acupuncture for everyone?

There are a few contraindications for facial acupuncture, some only temporary.

Note: for most of these issues, constitutional (non facial) Acupuncture and Chinese
Medicine is a significantly effective modality of treatment and healthcare.

* Severe uncontrolled high blood pressure

* Colds or flu

* Acute herpes outbreak

* Acute allergic reactions

* Pregnancy

* Less than three weeks following laser resurfacing, and less than a week following
microdermabrasion

Acupuncture tends to detoxify and reverse the effects of botox, which may or may
not be desireable.
